Potter nominated across several categories

The People’s Choice Awards are currently available for voting now. The show itself will be held January 9, 2013 on CBS.

The final nominations for the 2013 People’s Choice Awards were announced on Thursday, where Emma Watson and her drama, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, received nominations in the film drama category.

Oscar-winning actresses and former Harry Potter costars Maggie Smith and Emma Thompson will go up against each other in the favorite movie icon category. Finally, the Harry Potter fanbase was also nominated for favorite movie fan following category.

Greg Louganis shares his Potter obsession

Greg Louganis is the US diving squad mentor, a four-time gold medalist, and a potterhead. In a recent interview with “The Telegraph,” he discussed his love of all things Potter.

Most weeks, eating with the First Lady would be the undoubted high point but not this time: that came when I went on a trip to the Harry Potter studio. I was like a kid and played the tourist for all it was worth. I took all kinds of pictures and raided the gift shop: I bought a butterbeer, a Gryffindor shirt, a time turner, you name it.

I’m a huge Harry Potter fan: even my dogs are named after Harry Potter characters. Dobby is a Jack Russell terrier, so he’s my little house elf, and Hedwig is a white Hungarian Pumi.
