The Huffington Post (as well as many other sites) posted an article announcing that J.K. Rowling is indeed coming out with a new book.  Jo herself even announced such via her Twitter account (@jk_rowling), as you can see below.

For those wondering, no, this is not going to be another young adult novel.  Rumors are that this time she has written a crime thriller novel, as stated by The Guardian.  From her tweet, that is possibly the case, since it would be quite different from the Harry Potter world she has created.  So, sorry, no magic will be employed in this one, but being that it may be a crime novel, I’m sure it will still have enough thrills and suspense and drama to keep us entertained.  JKR is undoubtedly a wonderful storyteller, and I am curious to see how this will pan out.  I’m sure when the books go on sale, she’ll be as nervous as anyone to see how the fans will take to it.

The book will be available in print and e-books and will be published through Little, Brown.
