This is great, because it allows younger fans to see the trailers they were never able to see, and older fans can relive the memories (such as the Goblet of Fire, the year of no haircuts).
Finally we can return to Hogwarts with Harry, Ron, and Hermione in Pottermore’s Chamber of Secrets! The Pottermore Insider released the news earlier today.
Fly back to Hogwarts, encounter the Whomping Willow and test your herding skills by recapturing the Cornish pixies. Venture into Moaning Myrtle’s bathroom, learn about the legend of the Chamber of Secrets, and much more.
As well as the next chapters and Moments to explore, you will also find additional new features on Pottermore.
Pottermore Students will now be able to update their status on their profiles and there are new Pottermore Badges to discover and add to your collection.
What are you most looking forward to in the upcoming chapters?
While fans await for the next chapters of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets to open on J.K. Rowling’s website Pottermore, the site’s blog released a new preview from the Deathday Party hosted by Nearly Headless Nick on Halloween.
The Insider also revealed that Rowling posted new information about Peeves the Poltergeist as part of that chapter’s moment. More on that below. Currently no opening date has been revealed for the next set of chapters for Chamber of Secrets, but we will update when it is announced.
Many of our Pottermore fans have been keen to see the next chapters of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, so this week we’re taking a sneak peek at one of the upcoming Moments – the Deathday Party.
In Chapter Eight, Harry, Ron and Hermione are invited to Nearly Headless Nick’s Deathday Party, as the Gryffindor ghost celebrates his five hundredth deathday.
Various ghosts gather at Hogwarts to attend the party, including Hogwarts residents the Fat Friar and the Bloody Baron, as well as ghosts from further afield, like the Wailing Widow from Kent.
In this atmospheric Moment, you’ll be able to explore the Deathday Party and see some of the ghostly, spectral sights.
Through the curtains, new objects and characters are waiting to be found; look out for a glimpse of Moaning Myrtle and listen to the quavering sound of the musical saws.
You will also be able to unlock brand new, exclusive content from J.K. Rowling about Peeves the mischievous poltergeist in this Moment.
Well this is new and exiting. Is it just me or is the anticipation killing everyone else too?
Thanks to Digital Spy, we get a little behind-the-scene clip from the Wizard’s Collection DVD/Blu Ray set, where the Quidditch scene from the Chamber of Secrets is discussed. And you can get a glimpse of a young Daniel Radcliffe and Tom Felton discuss what they’re supposed to do.
A new behind-the-scenes video from the Harry Potter Wizard’s Collection has debuted online.
In the 90-second preview, released through Sugarscape, a young Daniel Radcliffe and Tom Felton are seen playfully squabbling on Quidditch brooms as they prepare to film a scene from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
Director Chris Columbus also discusses the teething problems with effects in the early movies, saying: “The visual effects in the first film were done towards the end of shooting. So we didn’t have enough time to really get them to where we wanted them to be.
“In the second film I wanted the visual effects to be much better than the first, so what we did is we shot those sequences first. It really enabled us to spend five, six extra months on Quidditch.”

All of us started our Potter-mania in a different way. Here’s my story:
I’ve been reading since the age of 3, but I didn’t really start reading anything bigger than my mom’s Hans Christen Andersen’s Fairy Tales book until the age of 7. My parents share my love for books, and I picked up our copy Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets book that they had left lying around one day, and I just started reading. My father found me stuck halfway through the first chapter, frustrated and crying because I didn’t know what was going on. He, kind man that he is, rented a set of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s/Philosopher’s Stone (read by Jim Dale- BEAST!) tapes from our library for me and sat me down with our cassette player in my room. I didn’t come out until I had finished them.
