She just can’t stay Hermione forever. With her new movie, “The Perks of Being a Wallflower,” it seems Watson started to find her new identity outside of the Potter world. Digital Spy brought us the details.
“I started as Emma with some Hermione still left in my system,” Watson told Entertainment Weekly.
“I went through the tunnel and I came out ready to start something new.”
She went on to talk about meeting with Stephen Chbosky, who not only penned the novel the film is based on, but also directed the upcoming movie.
“At our initial meeting, he said, ‘OK, not only is this going to be one of the most important parts you play, you’re also going to have the summer of your life and meet some of your best friends’,” Watson recalled.
“I thought, ‘That’s quite a claim. Who is this guy?’ Everything he said came true.”
Can you bear to see Hermione (as played by Emma) fade away?
I will totally watch that movie, let me tell you why. I saw two clips of Emma not only at but actually playing a character (looked like Columbia, but she would be a great Janet!) at a live Rocky Horror Picture Show. From 15 to 22 that was my life, I was a member of my local Rocky Horror cast and its some the best times I have ever had. So I will watch this movie, even if it horrible(though it doesnt look it) just so I can see Emma dressed up for Rocky! She will always be Hermione in my heart but I’m ready to see what else she has to offer as I think she is an amazing actress. And thats my 9 cents! lol
