The Harry Potter castle was recently visited by the 2012 London Olympic Torch!
According to iTv.com, on the 27th day of the Torch Circuit, the torch left Edinburgh where it headed south before crossing into Northumberland and passing by Alnwick castle.
Alnwick Castle is famed for being the castle used in the Harry Potter movies.
Around 400,000 are estimated to have crowded the streets to cheer the flame on.

The castle in the background of this photo is Bamburgh Castle, not Alnwick Castle. The Olympic torch was carried through Bamburgh in the afternoon. Then local torch bearers in relay carried it through the streets of Alnwick in the evening before finally lighting the Olympic ‘cauldron’ in the Pastures in front of the castle. Quite a sight. (I was there.) There are several other fantastic castles in Northumberland.
Thanks for the info! We’ll get it fixed right away- it must have been cool to be there!
